Parenting can be challenging in ways that aren\u2019t always visible \u2014 and for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs<\/strong>, those challenges can be ongoing and intense. Navigating education, health services, advocacy, and daily routines often leaves little time to pause and look after your own wellbeing.<\/p>\n

Following Parent Mental Health Day<\/strong>, we are holding a dedicated session at our SEN Community Hub <\/strong>on 7th of March<\/strong>\u00a0to recognise and support the mental health of parents and carers within our SEN community.<\/p>\n

A space created with SEN families in mind<\/h3>\n

This session is designed to be calm, understanding, and flexible. It\u2019s a place where SEN parents and carers don\u2019t need to explain their circumstances \u2014 you\u2019ll be among people who truly get it.<\/p>\n

    Talk openly, listen quietly, or simply take a moment to breathe<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    There is no pressure to participate in any particular way. You can come as you are, for however long you\u2019re able.<\/p>\n

    Why parent mental health matters<\/h3>\n

    Supporting a child with additional needs requires strength, patience, and resilience \u2014 but parents and carers also need care and understanding. Looking after your own mental health is not a luxury; it\u2019s an essential part of sustaining yourself and your family.<\/p>\n
